What types of Sunday School Classes do you have?

  • We have Sunday School classes for all ages from nursery to senior adults.

 

What type of music do you sing?

  • We sing a variety of music from traditional hymns to more contemporary songs.

 

What type of Bible translation do you use?

  • You’ll find a variety of Bible translations in the hands of those at Mars Hill from the timeless King James Version to more modern translations like the New International Version and The Message. Our pastor uses the English Standard Version.

 

What do people regularly wear at Mars Hill?

  • We are a “come to worship” congregation where you will see a variety of clothing choices each Sunday and Wednesday. Some choose to wear suits or dresses, others wear jeans or shorts. The consistent thing is that we have all come together to worship Christ.

How long are your services at Mars Hill?

  • Our Wednesday night services and Sunday morning services each last about an hour on average. Sometimes they will last a little longer but not usually.

 

What does it mean that you are Southern Baptist?

  • In a nutshell, it means we are part of the Southern Baptist Convention and work in cooperation with them to spread the gospel and make disciples throughout the entire world. We share a common doctrinal belief grounded in the Inspiration of the Scriptures and a clear mission to evangelise all the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We help support the various programs of the SBC and work together with the convention to fulfil the great commission.
